Today is Annie and Max's wedding day, so I thought we would celebrate by sharing their engagement session!

As many of you know, we have some Christmas mini sessions coming up in November. This will be our first set of Christmas minis here in our new studio and I am excited to share the set up with you! We are going with a simple rustic feel using our reclaimed barn wood wall and a giant wreath. We have a small tree for little ones to decorate. I know my little guy was pretty excited to add the little ornaments to the tree!

Over the weekend I went up to Zionsville, a lovely town I have, surprisingly, never been to before. Across from Lion's Park, the site of their Fall Festival, is a lovely park, the Creekside Nature Park where I met up with Sean, Brendan and their awesome parents...

It was a beautiful day, one of the most perfect days we've seen all summer. It was a day made for Angela and Kevin to say 'I do'. Angela and Kevin are absolutely perfect together and a dream to photograph.

It's finally here! GenCon 50 is now upon us. As many of you already know, I am a huge nerd and a big fan of board games. We have gone to GenCon for the last several years now - I'm thinking 5 but I'll have to check with the other half of my brain aka Brendan. Every year is an absolute blast and we get to meet new people, play amazing games and we try to make a new thing every year. I'm excited to make a sandwich puppet this year with one of the puppeteers from Sesame Street!

Agnes is such an emotive little lady with the eyebrows of her dad. I just loved all of her expressions and she kept me laughing throughout her whole session with them all! For her first birthday portraits, the little lady took a few portraits in our studio then we went outside for a few more under our rose of sharon on my antique coca cola crates that we used when she was a teeny tiny newborn almost a year ago now.

I have known Nico(Nicole) for about 10(?) years(is that possible) now and David for almost as long. They are partners in crime, a perfect match, nerds, dog(and cat) lovers, and all around awesome people that I am honored to call my friends. 2 years back, Nicole stomped me at a Star Realms Tournament at GenCon and it's only fitting that we included a little bit of the card game in their engagement session. I at least had the good sense to stay out of the game to avoid further embarrassment from either party.
