The Artsgarden in downtown Indianapolis is an amazing space I never feel like I get to see enough. It is so amazing for portraits with it's rain or shine beauty and natural light it has to offer. Last week, I got to visit the Artsgarden for some headshots with the lovely Laura of Nottingham Realty Group, who is also based out of downtown Indy.

GenCon is only 2 weeks away so we figured there was no better way to celebrate than to share one of our favorite shoots to date. Last winter, we headed out with the lovely Lorena Somers Makeup and Marry Me in Indy with a crew of awesome models including a real live married couple for an awesome elopement styled shoot invaded by Zombies.

I can't believe that it's been a year since little Alex visited me as a tiny newborn for his first set of photos. For his first birthday, we went back to visit the pond, the site of his mommy and daddy's engagement session way back when. :) Alex was a little bit of a tough critic to start out but he warmed up and gave us some awesome smiles showcasing his new teeth!

Fun isn’t always the #1 priority at an engagement session but it’s definitely up there. Caila and Michael were an absolute blast to work with and kept me laughing from start to sunset(and a few laughs on the way home if I’m to be honest). Next summer, these two are getting married at the Indianapolis Zoo and I know that they’ve chosen the perfect venue for them and I’m sure anyone that knows them can back me up on that. I was so thrilled when they agreed to head up to Coxhall Gardens, just North of Indy, for their session since I’ve been itching to go back for over a year.
