The Indy VegFest came back for it's second year and is even better! I was honored to have been asked to photograph the event for the second year in a row. If you are unfamiliar with the Indy VegFest, you should definitely check it out! The event is an all vegan event, but you don't have to be vegan or even vegetarian to attend. They want everyone to come out and experience first-hand just how good vegan food can be and is a judgement-free environment. The Indy VegFest aims to be zero waist to minimize their environmental impact through composting and recycling efforts with the help of Julia Spangler, a sustainable events consultant. The festival featured tons of delicious food and drinks from local restaurants and gave away prizes and food samples. There were lots of fun activities within the event including cooking demos from local chefs, free yoga classes from Invoke yoga and pilates, and a great set of kids events!
It's always an honor to be a part of this wonderful event with great companies like the Doug Dilling Team of realtors, Whole Foods, Metazoa Brewing, Eskenazi Health, Boxed Water, IARA, and so many others. There was awesome food and drink from Mama P's, Whelpdale Chocolates, Ezra's Enlightened Cafe, Brics, Native Bread, and tons more.
Three awesome cooking demos from Proverbial Grounds, Vegesaurus, and VooDoo Public House were huge hits during the day too. You can check out the full scope of the event by heading over to Indy VegFest's website.
Here are a few highlights from the day including some great talks, a painting demonstraition and of course, the food. <3
