Elopements are definitely rising in popularity since the whole ::gestures broadly:: 2020… thing. They are also rising as one of my favorite things to photograph. Steve and Dawn certainly helped boost them even farther up on the list with their surprise elopement at the stunning statehouse in downtown Indianapolis. This spot is one of my all-time favorites to photograph events and I don’t get to go up there nearly enough so a big thank you to this wonderful couple for including me on their stunning ceremony with the lovely Victoria of Marry Me in Indy(any day I get to work with Victoria is a good day <3).
There are so many great things to say about this couple. From the stories I got to hear before their ceremony, to their sweet ceremony under the skylights, they were an absolute joy. To top off the whole event, they headed back out the next day to spring a huge surprise with their family at the birthday party-turned-wedding party! I am honored to have been a part of their big day and can’t wait to finish up this gallery and send them all the photos, but, for now, here are a few of my favorites. <3
