Get ready for one giant, amazing, and hilarious(for those of us with a darker sense of humor?) 2 year birthday session. Henrik and his awesome parents are up for just about any crazy thing I suggest for their sessions and I absolutely love them for it. When I suggested we go for, quite possibly, the messiest thing I could think of, Henrik’s momma said, ‘Let’s do it!’ and the results were perfect. I am really hoping this becomes a new staple for milestone sessions because it was just SO fun! For his 2 year portraits, we decided to put up the white seamless backdrop and let Henrik go to town with some big blobs of tempura paint. We MAAAAAAY have suggested he go for the red when I found out one of his favorite songs is an Ice Nine Kills song all about the movie American Psycho(That adorable roar image is brought to you by the part around 2:13 of the song). I even dug out some evidence markers I had tucked away in my office and we made sure to get a special image with the ‘2’ marker covered in paint and stuck on his belly.
